PAINTCARE RECYCLING
This is the primary way to recycle paint now in Illinois:
- What it is: A free program for interior/exterior house paints, primers, stains, and sealers (up to 5 gallons/visitor/day).
- Where to go: Use the PaintCare website’s location finder or visit stores like JC Licht and Sherwin-Williams, which partner with PaintCare in the area.
- How it works: A small fee on new paint purchases funds this program; drop-off is free.
